- If you are unclear as to who manages the infrastructure (e.g. a derailment occurring on a customer site), guidance should be sought from the local operations team who can confirm the owner of the site.
- If your organisation are the Infrastructure Manager for a Yard, depot siding where a derailment occurs, your organisation as the IM should enter the derailment in SMIS.
- If you are trying to select a Yard, Depot or Siding (YDS) location from 'What was the Yard, depot or siding area?' and the location is not available to select, please raise a ticket via the service desk and request for the location to be added to the YDS asset list (Raise SMIS asset update request).
